I used to feel this way too. They keep turning up like bad pennies. But I realized the overwhelming majority of the people I've come come across have little to no frame of reference for narcissism beyond a person being self-involved and egotistical. They have no idea of the level of destruction and havoc narcs are causing. I will agree that behaving like a narcissist has become normalized to some extent, even idealized in some circles. It definitely feels more ubiquitous than it is when everyone is shrugging and justifying similar/related behavior.
